- Turning into what God made us to be is a beautiful, symbolic post by Natalie (Processing the Word) illustrating the tenderness of love God feels for us particular in relation to our transformation.
- “Information please” by Paul Villard, will keep you hooked to the end. It recounts a true story of a beautiful relationship between a boy and a lady who I feel nicely demonstrates the Fruit of the Spirit.
- Sometimes we just need Someone with Skin on them is a great post by Mel Thompson on the importance of receiving and giving comfort to others. It also illustrates God desire for us to be comforted. Continue reading Favourite blog posts from the week (21/10/12)
Have you noticed how deaths of relatives and friends, particularly ones where we feel the death could have been avoided can get us to thinking about how we are living our lives right now?
For each of us our thoughts may be different but we all realise once again just how temporary this life really is. On my ministry blog this week the focus is on living life to the max everyday, after all why should we not experience the joy, shalom and abundance that the Messiah left for us? Too many times we make do, and think ‘one day things will get better’, but that other day we are thinking about is not guaranteed for us.
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. (James 4: 13-14)
So I have developed three lessons based on an event that I recently attended which will hopefully give you some implementable keys and ideas to start living life more abundantly and fully. You can find the article right here. I would love to hear your thoughts on this, so please take some time to drop over and leave a few words.
Shalom in Messiah
This is the 2nd blog post from a precious ex-student and sister in the faith.
It’s interesting how I was able to write and post several status on facebook, post on instagram before I actually set up this blog. However as soon as the blog was set, my mind went blank for days and I didn’t know what to write. The holy spirit spoke to me and told me to not let any of God’s word come from my mere knowledge and flesh. So I was lead to fast and pray and at the end of doing that I heard a word from God, which is the topic of today’s blog. I will be talking about peace…. ‘Peace Of Mind’………
I would not be able to talk about peace unless I knew the essence of peace or knew what the experience of having a peace of mind feels like. I can only express what I know and what God tells me to say.
