What does the bible mean by abundance/fullness of Life?

A rise in prosperity teaching within the Body of Messiah has comfused people to what the Kingdom of God actually is and what it looks like.  In over-emphasising the physical the enemy ensures that our spiritual senses remain dull so that we are not able to enter into the TRUE promises of fullness and abundance of life promised to us by the Messiah.

This video explores what I believe is true abundance and fullness of life and I pray that it will be a blessing to you.

Don’t forget to follow my ministry website ‘On the Road to Healing’ where I share footsteps of the journey leading towards true healing and wholeness.  If you enjoy this teaching you will  also be blessed by what I share on this website.

Shalom in Messiah

Dear all,

this is just a quick post to let you know about a few things happening in my life at the moment.  You may or may not have realised that I have not been as active in commenting on the blogs that I regularly follow, this has not been because I haven’t wanted to do so but more about how busy and confusing my life has gotten to be all of a sudden.

God has been working on a number of things in me and one of those thing being my addiction to being ‘connected’ ie. online, it has gotten to the stage where I can safely say that it has at times taken on ‘idol status’.  God is asking me to be online less, not because being online is bad per-se but because of what it represents to me and the holes I try to use it to fill in.

I am also having to re-adjust how I spend and use my time, to make sure that I am not over-burdening myself by doing things I have no business doing which I do tend to do.  I have given myself a time-limit of how long I can be ‘online’ and on the computer on any given day and I’m working towards meeting that time limit so this means I have had to re-evaluate and re-prioritise everything that I am doing.

I will be online, I will do my best to read all your wonderful posts and hope to post as and when God leads me to but I feel that God wants me to work on my secondary blog for a bit and on my ministry work.  I do miss you all already and have made some great friends in many of you, but this is definitely not good-bye by God’s grace but just a little break.  I will keep you updated with my ministry work and probably re-blog some bits from my secondary blog every now and again, but please, please remember me and pray for me as God takes me yet deeper into a period of cleansing and sanctification.

Working for His Glory

When I first started this blog in February, I started it with the goal to encourage those who wanted to start in Ministry or serve God to do so God’s way and not their own or man’s way.  I have seen that it’s not enough to have a goal, a vision or even a passion, what is most crucial is that we have a God-given anointing to do that particular work.   After I posted my first post On when to start your ministry on Linkedin, I received a response that read along the following lines ...”not until you have sat under a leadership figure”.   I felt so aggravated when I read this because I felt that

  • this individual had no idea where I was coming from and what I was trying to say and I even wondered whether he had read the blog post or not and
  • I…

The longest wait of their lives

… was the greatest tool for their refinement.

Have you ever noticed that the longer you have to wait for something the more God is able to do an amazing work in You?  It seems to me that the most of all of that work revolves around deep-rooted anxieties and obsessions which hinder us from living in full abandonment to Him, this Passover I noticed this simple truth in my own life.

Do you think it’s harder to wait for something you know is going to happen or to wait for something you’re not sure is going to happen?  My husband would say the 1st but to be honest I’m not sure, does knowing the ending and the outcome make the waiting any easier than not knowing or does it simply tap into a different set of issues we need to let God deal with? When fear takes a hold…

and the thought of your days seems to overwhelm you, here are a few promises to hold onto instead.

Isaiah 40: 31 – But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint

Job 17:9 Nevertheless, the righteous will hold to their ways, and those with clean hands will grow stronger.

Psalm 103: 2-5 – Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:who forgives all thine iniquities; who heals all thy diseases;who redeems thy life from destruction; who crowns thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; who satisfies thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Psalm 61: 2 – From the end of the earth will I cry unto you, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Psalm 18: 2 – The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Psalm 27: 1 – The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm 18: 28 – For you will light my lamp: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.

Psalm 46: 1-3 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Thoughts on preparing for Passover

Today I started to do my shopping for Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, this is the fourth year that Eke and I will be celebrating these feast days and as the time has gone by we have learnt a lot about what it means to us and what it means to fellow Believers.  There will be many Christians and Messianics joining their Jewish brethren in this celebration, for some Christians this may seem strange but really it’s not because Jesus (Yeshua) is our Passover Lamb, saving us from death and leading us into the promised land.  There are some great teachings on Passover from a Messianic Perspective, this is the one we read from last year –  Passover for Christians.

I had an interesting experience shopping, I had to go down to our nearest orthodox community to purchase kosher for Passover lamb and boy was it expensive!!!  I think Kosher meat is even more expensive than organic meat and that’s saying a lot, for just enough meat for 2-3 people it cost us £20.  The Kosher butcher was mayhem, they had hired in extra staff and I had to wait nearly half an hour for our meat to be especially cut and rolled.  While I was waiting I had ample opportunity to watch how the Orthodox community were preparing for Pesach, family after family came in or rang up to place their meat orders in advance, they had bought huge boxes to place the orders in and deliver them to each family.  The men in the kitchen cut, diced, minced and rolled before bringing the orders out to be carefully checked over against hand-written lists before they were placed in the boxes for delivery.  I saw a young girl come in and hand over nearly £400 for her family’s supply of meat! Whew, it seems that a lot of saving has to be done in order to comfortably afford the costs of preparing for Passover!

Christian House Sitters

I normally try to post something interesting every week.

I have not posted for 2 weeks but hopefully this will help you to understand the reason.

As some of you will know Marilyn (my wife) has been fighting for her life for the past year. After being passed around a number of different consultants she eventually got to see the professor of surgery and he has discovered that when she had an operation three years ago for an ileostomy it was not done correctly. They left the damaged colon in place and this has caused major problems. The professor has said that after all this time rectifying it will be extremely difficult and there is no guarantee of success. However he has agreed to perform the surgery to remove the damage and to try to fix a number of the other problems. This will take place on Monday, 23rd…

Israel warns neighbors against attempted breaches of its borders during the ‘Global March to Jerusalem’.

As activists are planning to lead a Global March to Jerusalem next Friday, Israel has warned neighboring countries that it would forcefully respond to attempted breaches of its borders.
The Global March to Jerusalem initiative aims at getting over one million Arabs and their supporters to attempt to infiltrate Israel’s borders on March 30th. A spokesman for the march said last week the initiative “demand[s] freedom for Palestine and its capital Jerusalem.”
The Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center (ITIC) has presented information that Iran is behind the initiative and openly supports it. The march has also been endorsed by Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who was U.S. President Barack Obama’s pastor for 20 years at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. …
